Project Summary
This aircraft hangar floor coating project was completed in Boulder City, Nevada in May 2025 as part of an ongoing series of hangar installations for this facility. The scope of work covered approximately 8,000 square feet and was executed over a four-day installation period, with the hangar fully operational within one week from the start date.
Fastlane Coatings installed a high-performance, aviation-grade coating system engineered to withstand aircraft traffic, chemical exposure, and long-term operational demands. The project was delivered on schedule with minimal disruption, providing a seamless, durable floor designed for continuous use in an active aviation environment.
THE CHALLENGE:
The existing hangar floor had reached the end of it’s service life under aviation conditions.
- Fuel, oil, and chemical exposure causing surface breakdown and staining
- Limited downtime window requiring a fast, predictable installation
- Helicopter hangar flooring
- Need for long-term performance without frequent repairs or recoating
The solution:
Fastlane Coatings quickly installed a high performance system specifically for aviation-grade performance.
- Mechanically ground concrete to proper CSP profile
- Epoxy base coat for adhesion and moisture tolerance
- Polyaspartic topcoat for rapid cure and UV stability
- Engineered for aircraft loads and chemical exposure
